I had to fill in some time, as the punters of this gig wanted more of my solo playing. So Red House was done in Jimi's fashion.Probably Voodoo.
I know they all have your own flavor/twist on them, which is cool, but honestly I think Red House had too much. Even lyrically.
I kind of wanted to see the guy with Carvin(?) at the end.
I basically just kept learning the differences between two guitars. There's always things to be learnt when you can look/ listen back to your own performances on a recording.
Nathan, what did YOU learn from seeing/ hearing this video ?
(I'm not talking about anything other people say to you about it ... I'm asking what things you feel the video teaches you about what you do).
Nathan. From the two versions of this video, I noticed that you took your upside-down sunburst Strat style guitar along to the open mic session but performed on a friend's guitar. What prompted this decision? What differences, if any, did you detect between the two instruments?
A twist is that everyone seems to come to see me play these same Hendrix tunes.
I was playing a real Fender strat here too.. a 1989 Japanese made Real Feel Strat.
my friend Jez always lets me use it provided I ask him.
One day he may list it for sale and I will buy it. Like Wayne said in Wayne's World. "It will be mine, Oh yes.. it will be mine!"
o.0Really? Nobody else has commented?
