Re: Glamour Shots
Thanks, man. Coming from someone with such impeccable taste in guitars as yourself, that's quite the compliment. :beerchug:
I'm really, really happy with this guitar. It sounds great and it plays better than almost any other guitar I've held. I'm still planning on putting a three-barrel bridge on it at some point but, other than that, I couldn't be happier with it.
Thanks.
No four way, though it's kinda funny that you mention that; it's actually something I've been planning to do for a while. However, when I was wiring up that Oil City neck pickup last night, I wired it out of phase on my first go. I played it for a while and thought it was a pretty cool sound in the middle position, but decided that it was something that I would most likely never use. So, I decided to hold off on the four way switch action, at least for now.
Besides, if I wanted the option of OOP sounds, I'd probably go with a push-pull pot anyway. The more positions on a switch, the more difficult it is for me to actually get to the one I want.
Unless I've misunderstood and you meant something else by four-way? Is there some other wiring trickery that you were referring to?
The mini-toggle is the coil-tap switch for my bridge pickup, a Klein Tri-State. It's a three-position switch that selects from 5.2k, 6.7k and 8.3k. I use that switch a lot more than I thought I would. It's a ridiculously awesome pickup.

Kam, if I owned a tele, it would be exactly like yours, except the other way around. Well done.

That is a cool looking neck pickup and a beautiful guitar. Are you using a 4-way?
Thanks.

And what's the mini toggle for?
