Tux789 said:i like it cuz its original and would make a very memorable show (something neccesary to be recognized and possibly hit big) like i said it looks like a normal bucker esp. from afar where the audience would be so there is a shock/surprise factor there and the fact that since it looks normal you dont neccesarily have to make it glow if you dont want to

Why would you test the market with this and not an overwound PAF?

I bet after some time the intensity of the "glow" might weaken and then you would have double creams. Maybe they are better than they used to be.(the glow)
I might get some for the novelty sake. I've got a goth epi with glow in the dark skull knobs. That would be a cool bogart session.
Narrow market, but get the patend, market as you go.

Are you saying that the band's performance (and the audience's enjoyment) would suffer because of glowing pickups?Martian said:Followed close second, they surely would be a monumental distraction to not only the band, but to the audience as well.
Yeah, I see that now that I've read the thread (after postingEvan Skopp said:It's not a new product. It's just an experiment.
I wonder how much time and $$$$ went into brainstorming this. Seems strange there would be market research into an idea that would have been great 20 years ago. Is there more demand for glow in the dark bobbins than an 11K bridge PAF? DIdn't think so.PoorMan said:(I know, I know, we've already beat this one to death...too much expense in marketing, research, packaging, etc etc.) Can't blame me for tryin'!
As much time as it took our mold maker to say, "Would you like to see what your bobbins look like in glow in the dark material?" And for our purchasing guy to say, "Uh, OK." What would that be, maybe 30 seconds?Fusion1 said:I wonder how much time and $$$$ went into brainstorming this.
