No stands for me. Thats what cases are for. When ya dont use a guitar , put it back in its case for protection. Maybe on stage , I could see a stand, to show off the guitars, and have them ready, but I still might be inclined to just put it back in the case, and prop the case up against the amp or somthing.
To me a guitar stand is a busted headstock looking for an excuse to happen.

Putting the guitars back in the cases during a show can be very, very time consuming and kill the flow of a set, in my opinion. As long as your stands are out of the way, and you pick a good stand, I think you are all set to go.
I personally love my little foldable Hercules stands. I use them both for acoustic and electric, and I feel safe with them. They are also super easy to take along to the gig ; fits right in my pedal case.

I get HUGE kudo's from BTMN every year for bringing not only my guitars, BUT stands for each to the Dean gig.
I use an assortment. Most hanging. I have a host of old cheap Ultra stands. Acoustics are on some low body only stands (no neck support). I like those on the ground for super fast access.

I have a 5 guitar stand and 1 three guitar stand. It's really bad.

Not using stands at home or on stage is the easiest way to get a guitar dropped and/or broken.
I keep 6 on hand at home all the time...5 in the case stand and one on a single stand but limit myself to 5 guitars at a gig so they can all go in the case stand.
That stand has the leather snap holders and I can't see how a guitar could fall out of it so it's the safest way to keep guitars on stage.

That's the style I use onstage. At home, most of my guitars hang on the wall in my music room.
At home, in the case, unless I am practicing and take a break, then I use a small folding stand.
At a gig, I use a Warwick 3 guitar stand.
