Late to the party here! Just wanted to throw in my two cents... I agree with the fellow posters and guitar stand guides like this one and this one... Hercules are absolutely fantastic. Personally I prefer the floor stands, as sturdy as wall hangers are I just don't think they can be trusted as much as their floor-level counterparts.
Alternatively if anyone can recommend a good wall hanger I'd love to know!

I use the Off the Wall hangers. They look good and are really sturdy.

I have a 7 or 8 of these guys, I liked them a lot back when they were popular so I bought all I could find on eBay. I have several at home and leave the rest of them at my gig (church). They are sturdy, stable and seem to support all my different guitars and basses very well.

As I could only vote for one I elected to go for A frame as I have 3 of them (apparently...I only remember having bought 1).
I also have a single and a triple tripod or tube type stands but don't find them very stable so avoid using them. The three guitar one especially as it is unbalanced without three guitars of more or less similar weight - which seems a bit counter-productive surely as the the idea is to be able to quickly grab a guitar. It also has a tendency to twist.
I have a project to put together a display case at some stage in the future and would also like to use wall hangers if I can dedicate a room as a music space.
Currently only one of the A frame and the tripod are where I live so I generally don't have more than one out of its case at a time.
