Happy Camper here

Snake Aces

Singlecut Slut
My #1 is back after about a week away. I couldn't be happier! I was having tuning stability issues for years with this guitar but had played it so much I knew it inside and out when it came to checking the tuning between songs. At one point I installed a hipshot tremsetter and for the past 4 years or so had been fighting with it. I had brought this guitar to two "professionals" only to have no luck with the tuning stability. "I don't know" or "it's a lost cause" became accepted by me. Finally, one day last week I contacted http://madisonsguitars.com/ and they said to bring it on in.

One week later (almost) I talked to Aaron who was trying to push my guitar through to get it done for me before I leave on Saturday. It turns out the hipshot needed to be removed and go back to a traditional claw with 3 springs. The bridge height was off slightly as well but for the most part the hipshot was not doing the trick. I couldn't be happier, not only do I have tuning stability but I have the flutter back in the trem again too! (It's been awhile, you miss it when it's gone!)

I rarely have to bring a guitar to a tech or luthier, but when I do, it's nice to have true professionals who know what they are doing inside and out when it comes to something as priceless as this.

Warmoth chambered Black Korina body, Duncan Jazz neck and trembucker, STK-S4 classic stack middle. Push/pull pot with coil splits. Wenge knobs and a 5 way switch. Wenge 24.75" Warmoth conversion neck with 59 roundback contour, ziricote fretboard, gold frets, gold gotoh tuners, graphite nut, abalone inlay. 4 minutes with Jade leaves me no doubt why she is my main squeeze! She is sounding great unplugged and plugged today!
