That's what my origional post regarding the height was recommending...the magnetic pull could be doing you in. I noticed that when I raised my bridge pup, immediately got fret buzz. Maybe drop the pickups waaaay down into the guard as far as they'll go without popping off the screws, and play the guitar acoustically to see if there is a difference in the buzz.
