Help me ID pair of Sceamin Demons, please?

Hey everyone,

I just picked up a pair of SD SH-12 Sceamin Demon HB's(secondhand) out of a guitar: neck and bridge positions. One is marked "SH12 0165 IEU74" and the other "SH12 0165 IDM52". Can you tell me what I have here... are they positionally inclined by their markings, is one bridge and the other neck position?

No, there is not a neck position Demon. There is only one demon made and it is traditionally for the bridge but, it does work in the neck slot also. The other numbers mean next to nothing. You have 2 Demons, that is all.

Put a Alnico 8 magnet in one of them - and you got a mighty fine combo with a stock Demon in the neck and a Demon8 in the bridge!

Thanks for the feedback, guys. So I got me 2 S. Demons that can be used in bridge position... even better for me than a "matched positional pair". :approve:

So, where do I get parts like Alnico 8 magnets? And other magnets, and some black fabric tape for pickup coils? Also, anyone got a sound clip of a Demon8? I'm thinking it might be just awesome?:firedevil

The Demon8 is an awesome pickup. Basically it will be like the stock demon with more mids... lots more low mids... slightly rolled off highs... and about the same amount of bass... with more output. I love it in my SG copy nice and chunky but still retains clarity. I put double filister screws in mine and put the hex in my 59 thats in the neck with an A4. I highly suggest the Demon8. Dont have any sound clips on me ATM but i can try and use my new mic.
