How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

4 total. 3:1 electric to acoustic. I have my LP, a Strat/partscaster, and an Epi LP Jr. And an Epi acoustic.

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

Right now, 3 electrics (American Standard strat, esp ltd ec 1000 fr, and my partscaster) one acoustic, some low end Fender, and a new electric that should arrive tomorrow

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

Right now, 5 electric and 1 mandolin. I'm looking for an acoustic since I haven't had one in years.

LP Custom ('87)
SG/LP reissue ('02)
Hamer Archtop Custom ('91 prototype)
Firebird V ('14)
Am Standard Strat (95)

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

I sold a lot of my gear before moving to Europe so currently I have 3 electric guitars with a 4th on the way and 1 bass guitar.

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

I have all of my guitars I ever bought. Never sold one.

From oldest to newest electrics

87 Charvel 3A, 91 Ibanez RG770 with a custom Warmoth neck, Jackson soloist SLSMG, EBMM JP6 2007LE, Schecter Damien Elite 8. And one more on the way which I'll share when I get it.

I also have a Taylor acoustic and an Abiline 4 string Bass that I strung with a 5 string set so it's B E A D.

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

Currently, I have the fewest instruments I've had in a long time. I've sold/traded a lot of stuff to cover medical and tax bills. I have a takamine ean10c acoustic, a schecter corsair, and an inexpensive mandolin.

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

15 electrics(most in "project mode":( )
1 acoustic/electric

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

4 Electrics/1 Acoustic that are mine and two electrics that are my "kids" - they're really mine by default since neither of them plays them; daughter played sax and is learning uke, sone plays baseball! ;)

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

At the moment, 34 instruments -

Acoustics: 1 resonator, 1 12 string, 1 nylon classical/flamenco, 2 6 strings
Basses: 1 neck-thru Spector, 1 bolt on Spector, 1 P bass from parts, 1 OLP MM4, and 1 5 string fretless Ibanez
The rest are electrics of various levels of $$, with the unifying quality of being good sounding examples of the model, including a few custom built beasties.

There's also a small stack of project instruments, which may or may not be included in the final total... ;)

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

I have 16 instruments altogether.
That's 11 guitars, a bass, a mandolin, a banjo, a Ukulele and a trumpet.
4 solid bodies, 1 hollow body, 2 6-string steel string acoustics, 1 12-string steel string acoustic, 2 nylon strings.

Then I have 8 electric guitars in varying stages of work including 3 ongoing builds, 3 repairs/refinishes, 1 partscaster, and an original 1961 Fender Jazzmaster restoration project. :D

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

More than I can play at one time. ;)

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

7 electrics, 2 bass's and 2 electro-acoustics.

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

I have never owned an acoustic... not a single one. Ive borrowed from time time... usually just long enough to figure out they arent for me.

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

in the house at the moment

5 electrics counting the one in back partially assembled

2 electric/acoustics

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

31 stringed instruments: 17 electric guitars, 4 electric basses, 3 "real" acoustic guitars, 4 crappy and/or semi-busted acoustic guitars with sentimental value (including a tenor guitar), and one each of banjo, mandolin, and uke. I lost my dulcimer somehow; that sucks. I also have two trombones, a trumpet, a tenor sax, and a full set of harmonicas. And I have two electric guitars and an electric bass under construction.

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

5 electrics, one acoustic

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

Nine. 8:1 Solidbody electrics to classical.

1 Squier Strat
1 Epi LP
1 Music-Yo Kramer
2 Ibanez
3 Jacksons
1 Japanese nylon-string classical from the 60's

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

I have the following:
  • 1985 Westone Spectrum LX MBK
  • 2002 Ovation Celebrity Deluxe CS257 FGB
  • 2004 Ibanez SR300DX JB Bass
  • 2005 Ovation Celebrity Standard CC045 HB 12-String
  • 2005 Ibanez Artcore AS83 VBS
  • 2010 Ibanez RG3EXFM1 TBK
  • 2011 Ovation Celebrity GC057M
  • early '70s Estrada Deluxe C13 Classical
  • mid '80s Applause AA-31
  • ...and a cheap-ass Galveston Mandolin

You can see pics in my "Bri's Guitars" album at my member page.

I guess the ratio would be one of two ways for electric to acoustic
  • Guitars Only... 3:5
  • Including Bass & Mandolin... 4:6

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

4 electrics ; an Aria pro11 rs Knight Warrior with a Pearly Gates pup in the bridge, Fender Strat mim. A Schecter C-1 standard diamond series; last but not least a BcRich st111nj series MIJ with a SD Invader in the bridge.

Re: How many guitars do you currently own right now? Electric/acoustic ratios.

Roughly 20:1. (Basses not included.)
