i'm thinking a fender style tweed. maybe tolex maybe cloth. can't decide. probably the cloth. it's got rounded edges but no contours

Tweed is a complete different beast. I covered a strat pickguard for a friend in tweed. I don't recommend it for a guitar body unless you are very experienced with fabrics.

i found a site on using material. and there is also a tweed tolex for sale. just as a tolex instead of as a fabric....
