There are 4 phillips screws in the baseplate of the pickup. Take them out and you will be able too see the color.

That will only tell you one bobbin color plus, its alot easier to take out the 4 small screws on the bottom. Actually, you only need to take out one per side. Those pole screws you have to screw nearly forever in comparision. Plus, they are flat head so, its always possible for the screw driver to slip off and to scratch the cover.
