I AM THE MOST POWERFULL MAN ON THE FORUM!

Re: I AM THE MOST POWERFULL MAN ON THE FORUM!

nice score gerald! I wanna git the much smaller version of that peavey to use with my jmp-1. I don't need headroom, just a simple tube power amp.

Re: I AM THE MOST POWERFULL MAN ON THE FORUM!

I agree that those power amps are good, since I had the 60/60 version back in the day with a JMP-1, until I upgraded to a Mesa 295.

Maybe I missed it, but what preamp do you own that you're planning to use this with?

Re: I AM THE MOST POWERFULL MAN ON THE FORUM!

How can I put this delicately, so to not hurt your feelings. It doesn't matter because I can play the guitar and you can't. I sound good when I play the guitar and you do not. You could play through anyone in the world's rig, and I would still sound better than you while I played through my little Blackstar HT-5.

shorthand = size isn't everything...

Re: I AM THE MOST POWERFULL MAN ON THE FORUM!

Wow... F*CK.

Careful...

Maybe send it to your old pal Dunc just to be on the safe side. :P

Meh. I had a Crate BV300h. Should have kept the sucker but I hated moving it. 300w out of 6 6550s. It was an Ampeg SVT with dirty channels. 84 lbs.

Jer's kung fu is not strong.

Talk me through that tube driver, it looks interesting. Is that your preamp?

Best overdriver eva! Yep I am using that as a preamp now but it has been my go to distortion/overdrive for years. It has the creamiest smoothest distortion I have ever heard. I got it new in the late 80s for $105 they are going for about $250 on Ebay now. The bias control gives you so much sensitivity and the presence really opens up your pickups. I picked it up when I got my Roland JC 120 I felt I should have a tube in my signal chain, there is a 12AX7A in the unit making it warm as hell. I love the unit and have never seen a bad review or heard a bad word about Chandler gear.

Re: I AM THE MOST POWERFULL MAN ON THE FORUM!

I opened my big fat mouth as usual in a boastful arrogant manner. Tested it tonight and the second channel is out. Got to return it tomorrow, and good riddance..I looked inside the unit and all those old caps soldered onto the circuitboard that need replacing by now- a nightmare! I would strongly advise against anything like this now unless you are , or know a extremely patient tech! Glad I made them give me that 48 hour cash back, and made the manager sign it,so there would be no question.
No more old circuitbaord amps for me, except maybe another Marshall.

I may not be the loudest guitarist on the forum, but when I crank up my 18W Blues Jr., it'll send you all running with your ears covered!
