King Midas to Cheap Guitars

I will strip the body. Rip out the electronics and put my own in. And possibly replace the neck.

Nice! hardtail goodness.

Re: I come alive in the darkness, Left murdered and nameless, Dead unburied and rotte

Korean or Indonesian?

Re: I come alive in the darkness, Left murdered and nameless, Dead unburied and rotte

This one is Indonesian. The wood seems lively and resonant enough to me.

Re: I come alive in the darkness, Left murdered and nameless, Dead unburied and rotte

That is the version that I have. The finish seems better applied than the MIK versions. Might explain the resonance. I went active.

Like the beat up look.
321?

Yup, it's a 321. I'll probably just tru oil it, so it'll look more like this:

The neck has a few dings on the back, so I'll swap that out, and I'll use black hardware. Should look pretty nice when I'm done, and it was only $100. :D

Great guitar. I just missed out on a used MOL finish one with the 2010 issued Gibraltar bridge and a D-Activator in the bridge position for
$300. Still kicking myself on that one. I was literally a few hours too late.

Re: I come alive in the darkness, Left murdered and nameless, Dead unburied and rotte

How big are the dings? I wouldn't bother replacing the neck. Sand the finish off and use a damp wash cloth with a soldering iron to pop the wood back out if they're not too big.

Re: I come alive in the darkness, Left murdered and nameless, Dead unburied and rotte

It looks like it could use a little TLC, but that should be of no consequence to a man of your undoubted talents.

I have 6 other RG necks here that I can swap onto it, and sell the one with dings for almost what I paid for the entire guitar. :D

Sanding it down will be the most time consuming part. I already have all the parts I need, it's just finding time to get it done. Found a guy on eBay with black bridges that fit these guitars for $10 a piece.

That will be a good looking guitar when your finished. Good score
