I have a serious problem...........

B Bent

Vibroluxologist
Laugh all you want about GAS. It IS real!! After I got my B Bender back and went through 10 amps looking for my amp I finally stumbled on the Lux and Celtic! I told everyone around me that I was now set for a long long time! I truely had no urge whatsoever to aquire any new gear. Well that lasted for about a month. I have found that all it takes is that one amp or that one guitar to set the spark again.

Here's my situation: I bought the 69 Tele RI < 1 month ago just for fun and last week a buddy of mine was getting rid of his Boogie Subway Blues so I snagged it up too for really cheap. If you guys remember a while back I was really GASSIN for a Dr. Z Maz Jr but couldn't quite commit because my main sound wasn't there.I still love the tone of the Maz and now that I have the Lux I have the luxury of trying other amps since I now am happily married to said Lux!!

Basically now that I have these two peices of gear I am thinking of hocking them in order to get the Dr. Z. So I say it again GAS never goes away. It may lie dormant for a while, but you just wait because it will come back!! Take heed brothers!!

These 'two pieces of gear' are not the Celtic and the Vibrolux, right? :eek13:
I hope you meant that '69 RI Tele and that Subway Blues... :fingersx:

I thought the same thing. I would have probably jumped on the Celtic!! Good thing you aren't selling it B Bent.

That sounds like an EXCELLENT idea. Although I obviously don't know you personally, I can tell that you don't seem like a Mesa guy. Dr. Zs are the shiz! I say go for it!!! Either that or a Bad Cat. :fingersx:

Re: I have a serious problem...........

Is the Subway Blues listed in the Trading Post? How much? Any pics?

It's not listed anywhere. I haven't even taken pics yet. I took it apart Sunday night and spit shined it. it now looks like brand new. It sounds freaking killer for a 20 watt amp with a single 10'! I really like it. It may stick around for a week or two just so I can get to know it a little. In a perfect world I could keep it and get the Z. These little amps are getting harder to come by it seems! It is still cool to get into a Boogie at the price of this guy though!!

Re: I have a serious problem...........

GAS - A guitar player's biggest enemy. Dammit, you had better not have a drug addiction too or your fundage is screwed.

I have maaad GAS, and im maaad poor, and im scared of getting a job, lest my house be filled..

I see no problem with a house filled with guitars...its one of my dreams to have that someday :D

It's a problem when your house is filled with guitars, but dark and cold because you cant pay for heat or electricity.

Re: I have a serious problem...........

i'm still gassing for that twin twelve. get a bright channel mod on one of the inputs on the normal channel. then either get a gl screamin demon for the bridge of my strat and a little 59'er for the neck with pus pull. or just get a hello kitty guitar. i played one and it sounded great, much to my suprise

Re: I have a serious problem...........

I've never actually played the Subway Blues, but I have the Subway Rocket and the thing is a best. You wouldn't believe the sound coming out of such a small combo. Best of luck with your gas'ing.

Re: I have a serious problem...........

Man, I thought you were selling your amps. That'd be like a new record or something.

I made the same mistake when I had the two Rivera's and two G&L's in house. I said it and I meant it. And it too lasted about a month.
