I have an idea for a youtube series.

Re: I have an idea for a youtube series.

iPad? No. Low quality audio/video demos are dime a dozen and yours will get lost in a sea of mediocre gear reviews. People would be all over this if you could demonstrate that you can make really good videos that do the gear justice and garner lots of interest and views. If PGS or Chappers made a thread like this, people would consider it but you really need to be honest with yourself so you can realize why nobody likes this idea.

Please feel free to prove me wrong. Make a video with what you have and really show us what you can do. I have a few pedals I could conceivably give away but when I give you advice that would actually help you, you don't listen to me and I don't want to enable the kind of behaviour you commonly exhibit which frustrates a lot of forum members including me. I don't hate you but you have a lot to learn.
I have a better microphone so I can put my amp up on the table and record said tones with a picture put in of what pedal I'm demoing.

Is this your "better" microphone setup?

Re: I have an idea for a youtube series.

So. Are there any takers for either the proposed video reviews or the opportunity to shed material possessions to an ungrateful world? :scratchch

Re: I have an idea for a youtube series.

Do you expect these guys to give up their Boss and whatnot as mere crap? Their boards would be disassembled. :earl:
I am probably odd man out but I prefer great sounding pedals. Do not have the time to waste on crap.
The biggest problem with the Metal Zone was more so the inability for idiots to adjust it properly much less the Keeley mod which made it sound pretty good, for a Boss anyway.

You seem to have plenty of time to keep repeating yourself though. Particularly in threads about the 'crap' pedals that you show (endlessly) so much disdain for. So I posit that you DO have plenty of time to waste on 'crap'.

But I have a suggestion to help you save all that time. Whenever you see a thread about pedals that are below your lofty standards, simply post "I was here". Everyone will know exactly what that means, word-for-word, and we'll all be spared a lot of time.

You're welcome.

Re: I have an idea for a youtube series.

IMO, posting the word "buffers" would suffice.

Re: I have an idea for a youtube series.

Don't Steve Vai and Paul Gilbert use Boss DS-1 on a regular basis? I heard that Steve loves the DS-1 and TS-9 so much that Ibanez reincarnated the two as the Jemini. This man, who has the pricey Axe FXii and Eventide in his arsenal.

Steve was using the stock ones as well as Keeley modded versions in his rig for a while as boosts or additional gain stages. Satriani used a DS1 for years as his main gain source when he was running pedals into a clean Marshall for his sound.

The Keeley versions are pretty fierce!

Oh I'm sorry are we supposed to invent new exciting issues every post?? And of course we must all agree to the concurrent idiots ideas and high school level gear notions.
80% of "Guitar players" consistently remain some of the most ignorant dumb****s on the planet which explains why they continue to buy into teenage sales hype of low end gear and refuse to learn or progress, maybe because they have reached the extent of their intelligence range and musicianship.
I truly believe you chaps are about as good musicians as your taste in gear.
"I was here. "

Re: I have an idea for a youtube series.

Gainstage - I really hope your trolling. Also, your statement contradicts your signature, so there's that.

Then why do you stick around and keep posting ? There's a saying about people who keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Re: I have an idea for a youtube series.

Some of my favourite gear is crap. If the contribution of the crap gear completes the sound I require, this is all that matters.

Re: I have an idea for a youtube series.

I'm gonna go with a no on this.. You all about people giving you stuff.. Get a job and earn it like the rest of us have to..
