I'm thinking about dropping a celestion g12H into my princeton reverb II.
Pros? Cons?

I love the Cannibis Rex. I'm currently playing mine through a closed back cab. But I have had the back off of it and I can't imagine it not suiting a Fender amp in that configuration. Lot's of nice lows and low mids, clear full top end that an open back can only accentuate. Plus it's rated at 103 dbs.

yeh the Cb sounds really good.

I am of the opinion that 95% of guitar players have nowhere near enough speakers. It seems to be the one thing most guys lack. Even if they end up with two (OMG.....Two.!) they will want to sell one of them.
Anyway.....I definitely have an Eminence bias, but...I like they way the Eminence Wizard sounds when compared to a G12-H...and I prefer the Governor over the Vintage 30.
You may like the Wizard in that amp.....but unfortunately, there is only one way to know for sure.

I am of the opinion that 95% of guitar players have nowhere near enough speakers. It seems to be the one thing most guys lack. Even if they end up with two (OMG.....Two.!) they will want to sell one of them.

i ran a crex in my deluxe reverb for a long time, then a buddy got a reissue and the stock speaker needed to go. so i gave him my crex and put an old g12h in. sounds great. not the same at all but a different flavor of awesome

i got another rex but still have the g12h in the dr. its a little more aggressive and maybe not quite as loud but equally good. just different. hard to go wrong with either. i got a g12h with the 55hz cone but havent gotten around to trying it yet.

55hz would be cool. So would a wizard. So would the creamback version for a little extra fatness. Wish I could try them all.

My amp guy talked me out of the creamback in this particular amp so in the end it was down to the g12h or the cannabis. I bought another cannabis so the g12h experiment will have to wait I guess. The good thing is that the CR is a guaranteed winner in terms of getting a killer sound from this amp.

yep, thats why i got another one. the g12h 75hz will eventually need to get back into the 5E3 that i borrowed it from so at that point ill pop the g12h 55hz in and see how that works and deccide between that and the rex

+1 Crex is awesome, G12H is awesome in a different flavor. I really find both exceptional. And for me its amp dependent.
I can see by the thread you chose the CRex, always nice albiet a bit safe for myself. I seem to default to it these days. I like having both on hand if I can. I am down to 4 amps right now (gig amps anyway) 2 Fenders Running CRex (6V6 and EL84), Morgan RCA35 running G12H (6v6) and Dr. Z MAZ18 running G12H (EL84). I can mix and match, but these are the best matches for these amps for me. Not so much tube dependent but rather cab dependent. I am ready to break out and give a few more speakers a go but the last thing I need is another gear hole to fall into, LOL.

I've done a couple of gigs with a dual amp setup recently (mainly cos my favourite amp doesnt have any reverb), and used a radial twin city which works great...but ive had to give it back to its owner so i need a new amp switcher. I'd also like to use my fuzzface on one of the amps and it doesnt sound good running thru a buffer. Ive not tried it with the radial, but every other buffer ive used has squeezed the fuzzface tone into buzzy crap land. So i guess the answer is a passive ABY like the lehle or fulltone...but then wont that halve my signal when im running two amps?
