I unexpectedly bought a used guitar today.

My second Jackson SLSMG... but in a "Violin Brown" finish.

I bought it from someone on craigslist who I sold a guitar to once. Coincidentally, it even has the same locking tuners from the guitar I sold him... he had put them on this guitar.

It has a couple of dings and needs some new pickups and pots, but it plays great. I didn't know it came in brown.

I'm either going to put full shreds in it, or maybe a set of patb-1's.

Spent $600 for it. Anyone know anything about this guitar?

I love it. I think it's one of Jackson's best looking designs.

Sounds and plays great. It weighs a little more than my black SLSMG. I had planned on going sometime this week to check out one of those Ibanez S421's, but after this unplanned purchase, I guess someone else will have to take my place... since I can't justify any more guitar purchases, haha.

The guy I bought this guitar from said it used to belong to some guitarist in a semi-successful band, but I have no idea who it was.

Considering you already own an slsmg, what could you possibly want to know other than that this one is violin brown and otherwise identical? I think the finish was an MF limited run, but I don´t usually follow the imports so take that with a grain of salt.

That's beautiful. I feel like Jackson often shoehorn themselves as a metal/shred brand because of their designs and finishes - but that finish is just full of class!

Excellent price for a usa jackson. Not too bad for a high end Japanese one like an SLSMG, either :beerchug:
