Sonny Landreth's Milky Way Home. So supremely saturated, but not too much so as to lose any clarity.

Mmmm thats tough.... probably Eric Johnson... great great Strat tone... Beck is not far behind that for me... as well as Mayer too, all great Strat tones that I love to listen to...

I just want to be myself and the best I can be.

But in terms of tone, Eric Johnson seems to be able to do many of the tones I love: everyone from Wes Montgomery to Eric Clapton to Jimi Hendrix and everyone in between.

There are no modern players who's tone I admire like I do the guys I mentioned.

Keith Richard's live tone when he plays his black 355's. It's the sound that first made me wanna be a guitarist.

Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)" tone.
