What might have helped in this thread is the customary request for photographs of the OP's guitar. It would soon have become apparent whether the '63 was a genuine vintage piece, a misidentified AVRI or, even, an "import" Sixties style Fender.

Sheesh, I hate joining this knitting circle but can't help myself. Here is a picture of my 1963 Stratocater that I don't have (if I really wanted to make it convincing I could muck about the picture with photoshop):
