I'd prolly get myself a custom made superstrat-style guitar... Maybe an ash body with some nice transparent color.
And some real expensive head and 4x12. Maybe a Soldano or sumthin.

for me id prbly have to play a bunch of stuff, but right now,
Fender custom shop master build (or whatever their top level is) strat, with reverse headstock, reverse termelo, duncan antiq single coil set. white w/ maple
or maybe
a cherryburst historic les paul with antiq or jimmy page buckers
than either a marshal super lead 100 (plexi) with a single 4X12 cab loaded with celestions
or maybe
an orange ad30tch (two channel head) with a single 4X12 cab.
either way the amp is having the tolex removed and replaced with a deep blue shag rug.........

I wish stores around here had cool amps like Bogner, Mesa, Soldano, Diezel, etc. so I could try them out. Something high-gain.
For a guitar I'd get a custom made Explorer. I could spend $4000 or $5000 on that, and with one of those $3500 amps, I could still spend a pretty hefty chunk of change on a nice rack setup.

For me a HSH fantasy strat with 7 coils. the neck= strat-size a2 PAF sounding Hbucker and vintage (a5) strat Single coil in the same cavity. Middle= Vintage strat pup w/ 5-2 concept rod magnets. Bridge= strat-size HB (a5 PAF vibe with better harmonics wound to 10k) and vintage Broadcaster (Alnico2) single coil (same cavity). Then have it wired for all the posible pup combos except that phase junk. Really light Ash body finish would be olympic white w/ red tortoise pguard and gold hardware & gold jumbo frets. Neck would be pretty deep and skinny ("U") with 60's/70's big headstock made from plain maple and no stripe on the back of it. gold kluson tuners, better tremolo.
As for an amp, a hybrid type thing that would be a 100/50w head that had the Fender '65 blackface twin cleans, Marshall JCM 800 drive, and mesa crunch rectifier type thing. (Sorry don't know too much bout amp model names).
