Well..I just bit the bullet and purchased a used Fender Hot Rod Deville 2x12 Tube amp, and all I can say is... :32: :32: :32: This is a major leap forward from solidstate, and though economical, and good for beginners, has NO COMPARISON IN SOUND. The clean sound on this amp is so NATURAL. It's so creamy and smoothe, with actual echoes, not digital sounding stuff. Man I'm a believer, I'll never go back to solid state, NEVER! :burnout: I paid 360$ for this amp, what a deal, the thing looks mint. Except for one little issue, I barely notice it, only when it's cranked, and I mean cranked, it sounds a tube or something is rattling, how can this be fixed? Other than that, it was the best 360$ I've spent. A backbreaker it feels like it's 70lbs..70lbs of...CREAM :saeek: :laugh2:
