Hey there, first post here but I have been reading up a lot.
I read a lot about people wanting to put a cover on an invader then followed by the caps.
I did it tonight, and I think it sounds the same as the invader, the reason I did it was to keep the chrome theme on my guitar going, but in the mean time I did screw up the cover because I drilled it on top of a piece of wood which allowed the holes to pop out uneven with the surface of the pickup, and in the meantime of trying to fix it, I scratched the crap out of it. But that's ok, my chrome caps won't be here till Monday so I don't mind ordering new covers.
I changed the Custom Custom because I didn't really like it, but I kind of miss the tone I got when I had my Synyster Custom, as I like to play some A7x stuff. So I figured I might as well replace the pickup I don't care for, for one I like, especially since I had a gift card for Guitar Center
But this means I will be selling my Custom Custom, how much do you think this would be worth if its off a few month old guitar, and I just uncovered it tonight?
So now my real question is where is the best place to get replacement covers for Seymours? I found 1 on Amazon for $15 but I would like at least 2 chrome covers that would fit.
Would the pro line ones at Guitar Center work?
Do they make these covers with 12 holes? This would make it so I don't risk messing it up again and I would pay extra for these!
If I can't get it right my other option is to take the cover off the '59 in the neck and just put chrome rings around the pickups like I have on there now. Problem with this is I read that it is probably zebra under the cover and not black/black so I am going to try to avoid this. Besides who wants an uncovered pickup that doesn't say Seymour Duncan? Plain is boring.
Here's my guitar so you can see how it looks. I think the invader will look sharp with chrome caps instead of black, but I gotta wait a Few days.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks
