Line 6 has modeling guitars.
The new models have real pickups in them. The older ones were cheaper. I think $400 for the cheapest one. I think they all go for over $1,000 now.
Would probably be cooler if they just put that technology into the amps themselves. Plug in a ukulele with a soundhole pup and sound like Jimmy Page with the turn of a dial. Would be the best thing ever, wouldn't it? :chairfall

they have a modeler that allows you to plug in headphones
and hear Page playing
I have one of those, it's called an ipod. Can't figure out how to plug in the guitar, but it seems to bluetooth over to the ipod. I sound fanstastic!
I use a modeler most of the time (Axe-fx). With Fender CS and Suhrs, too.
