A Dunlop Wah and Rotovibe? I want to use them, but not have them eating away at my tone when I'm not using them. I heard someone mention a splitter box or something? Is this possible?

Artie showed all of us a bypass box that he came up with..

Edit: btw - While looking at this, I came up with a very cool mod to this. I'll post that pic tomorrow. ;)

Re: Is there any way to bypass....

I made a buncha these in the past 2 years. They are electronically the same as true bypass in a pedal. Great boxes!

Re: Is there any way to bypass....

i dont have any problems with my wah, but i know what you mean about the rotovibe, it really has a big effect when its off

Re: Is there any way to bypass....

They get $55 for that! I'm in the wrong business. :smack:

btw - do you really need an LED to be able to tell when you're running through all your effects or not? :laugh2:

You're always coming up with so many great ideas, Art! You should gather it all, patent it, and hire workers to make an assemble line to provide musicians everywhere with these awesome tools!

Yeah, but you can built one for like 15 bucks...
I am lazy and bad at electronics and want something good. Could I hire somebody here that makes good ones to make one for me? Anyone?

Thanks, but thats not exactly an original idea. I'm just showing how to do it. ;)

Tell you what. I'll pop one together. See how much it actually was in parts. And shoot you a PM on what it'll cost you + shipping. If you decide you don't want it, I'll use it myself. :)

Re: Is there any way to bypass....

Nice job Artie...Nice easy pedal that gives great results! I should make one of these for my other guitar player so he can toggle between his Digitech GSP 2101 Artist and his Soldano/Yamaha amp going into the clean channel of that amp..

Re: Is there any way to bypass....

so hey chief, can you add a diagram of how you would add an LED to that box? that would be tight

Hey man, I put a led wiring diagram in the thread John started. The link to the thread is right above this post...

Re: Is there any way to bypass....

I've been using a true bypass box with my pedalboard for 5 years now. I had mine made by AnalogMan. 3PDT switch with LED, powered by a 9V battery or a 9VDC power supply. When it's OFF, the signal from my guitar goes directly to my amp. When it's ON, my guitar signal goes to the pedalboard and then to the amp. It also acts like a master switch to get your effects in and out of the signal chain.
