Is this a real Seymour Duncan?

All the 59's, and many Duncan HB'ers have the tape at an angle like that on the bottom. But they also all have the tape wrap all the way around. The one on the left, last pic, looks like maybe someone flipped, or changed, the magnet.

Hi all,

I am new here.

In 2020 I bought this "Fender Stratocaster Body Loaded With seymour duncan SSL-1 pickups"

I tried to verify the pickups but I could not confirm anything.

DCR is:

Neck 6.13kOhms
Middle 5.83kOhms
Bridge 6.13kOhms

Neck and bridge could match the Alnico 2 Pro...
  • SSL-1 are supposed to be 6.5 all around.
  • Not sure if they are supposed to be the same at different position, but the middle one definitely sounds different.
  • No label, but Bridge and Neck are marked "CR" what could that be? I found that if a label was stating "R", it would mean it was wound by "Connie Rocha" so I thought maybe...
  • Pots are definitely SD parts
Thanks for your help.

im used to seeing duncans with a bevel like in the official pic. there is a bevel, but its no where near as rounded as what it appears you have in your loaded pickguard. i think they may still be hand done, so some variation is possible

Hi,
Can you please let me know if the attached picture of SD pickups looks as original or if there are any suspicious symptoms I should worry about?

Best regards!

Are all the numbers on the bottom supposed to be the same?

I’ve got the following answer from SD technical support:
„The numbers on the label do match a job order that we have on file from 2021. I can only go by the label and they do look ok. The baseplate appears to be consistent with our current builds.„

so maybe it’s all fine but I just wanted to share this info here and also ask about other opinions.

Gotcha, so they were made at the same time, as 1 order for one guitar.

That's not really too weird. There was an electrician professional's forum I joined because I needed info on house wiring. I joined so that I could see the attached files and pics. All my questions had been asked before, that I found by searching. So I never contributed much because I couldn't offer much to the pro's. It happens.

What do you think about it?
