1. Yeah, I've been drooling over EBMM Silhouettes for *years*. But I've never been able to find one to play, though. Music stores in Athens *suck* for guitars.

2. Yeah, I was expecting Brian May content, too...

I'm so happy for you. Since I first read your thread I started looking at Craig's list for the first time in my life as it really hasn't hit Australia at all yet.

It is wonderful. I actually found a blue y2k like yours (5 way switch) and it is immaculate also and only $600. The only obstacle is some people don't ship to Australia.

I'm currently awaiting feedback on a bargain Luke 3 ebmm in sky blue. Fingers crossed.

Super congrats on your find. We are all jealous :-)

The first time I saw that model, I had to gawk at it, thinking to myself "I'm not big on purple, but that burst is just SO nice!"

That's an amazing score. Good job. $500 doesn't usually buy guitars of that level.

Usually my first inclination is to think about having Chandler cut a new guard and installing a black or nickel set, but that particular guitar has such a unique and cool pickup set that it's worth keeping.

I still can't believe someone let that out of their hands for $500 measly duckets.

Do it. I've played a few dozed over the years at stores and I've NEVER played a subpar example. QC over at Music Man must be extremely stringent.

Yeah, craigslist is the titties. I once found a Rockerverb 50 and a matching 2x12 for $400. Man was I pissed I didn't have more money.

I checked out the L3 last night - man those pickups sound incredible. If I was going to change the Morse pickups for anything it would be those, but I think I'll just get them for my next humbucker guitar, whatever that may be.

I'm actually lucky it's purple. I had to borrow money from my band fund to pay for it, so I'm broke now. When I brought it home, my parents looked at it for a second and my mother says to me, "You're not selling it, are you? Because it's so pretty."

The one time I want them to be pissed I spent all my money, haha.

I dunno, I'm not sure what poplar looks like. I like the contrast of the black back though.


Side note - I've thought about selling this guitar a bit just because it's so ****ing good that I can't seem to get any schoolwork done when it's hanging on my wall looking at me.*

I'll do a full review of the guitar this weekend, but I think my incoherent ravings have sufficiently established that this is an amazing instrument and that anybody that likes the feel of a Music Man (the 1 5/8ths nut isn't for everyone) and wants a shredstick should get one of these. I've never had a guitar that just screamed "PLAY ME" more than this one. And it wants to be played fast.

finish.

These go for 2K on ebay... That's an unbelievably lucky score. I like Steve Morse a lot. Something like this can be my #1 for 10 years..... i'm truly jealous.
