I really like 10 strings, and as for all the knobs and switches, it has an on board pre-amp, as well a coil taps, phase switches, and an active tone circut (this means that instead of a tone control you get a bass and treble control!)...they have the wrong kind of neck for me but I still dig them...and in fact the older ones did not have DiMarzios and IMO sound better!

Exactly! :laugh2:

I have enough trouble working with 2 or 3 + a pup selector, that looks like flying an aeroplane!! :D

Re: it's Sooo 80's...

They're awesome that is for sure.

That's right by me I'll have to take a swing by and see if they have it on the floor. They're pretty nice guys at Guitar Asylum, that is were I got my Malcolm Young Gretsch.

LUCKY BASTARD!! If you play it let me know how it is...I don't have the extra cheese to throw down right now but...one day...after my Strat, and my Tele-Gib, and my Super Strat, and my Les Paul...one day!!!

Re: it's Sooo 80's...

Gee, I wish they would have added some more switches and knobs to that axe. What do the other for strings sound like? Anybody know?

Re: it's Sooo 80's...

That was the guitar that inspired my first case of GAS.

The one thing about 'em that seems wrong is that the low E and A aren't doubled while the unison strings are. As a result, I'd probably prefer the six-string version of that guitar.

Re: it's Sooo 80's...

I used to get my hands on an original one way back when and I loved them, you feel like Joe Perry as soon as you wrap your arms around it. Everyone used to pull off the pairs and just play them as 6 strings, half the time the harnesses went as well and they were just wired straight. I sold an original wiring harness on eBay 2 years ago for $250, I almost **** myself. Wish I had a few more to get rid of!

I HATE BC Rich guitars, but I wouldn't mind owning that. I might not play it in public, but it looks like it would make one hell of a studio instrument.

yeah...i think I might have to do it a tad more "standard" but I might keep it as a 10 string...I kinda like them (10 strings that is...I also played a 9 string once...that was cool too!)
