A few weeks ago I saw the Eminence Swamp Thang and Texas Heat speakers I sold a year or so ago up on Craigslist. So I asked him if he'd want to trade for an extra set of 4 V30s I wasn't using, and he agreed. So I pulled the V30s out of my Avatar Vintage 4x12, did the trade, and threw in the Swamp Thangs and Texas Heats in their place when I got home.
I ended up running my Splawn Pro Mod through them and they sounded better than I remembered. But, since I like to mix things up, I tried it with my Splawn 4x12, which is loaded with Eminence Man O' War and Governor speakers. And damn, it sounded great! Those four speaker types really compliment each other very well. Everything about the sound was much more complex and rich than either of the cabs on their own. Which I expected to a certain extent, but it didn't expect it to work so well.
Later on, I may try all four in the same cab, just to see what it sounds like, but for now, I'm gonna leave things be.
