Jackson Warriors

Hi,
Just wanted to say hi. Here's a pic:

I've let 2 go (Trans Black WR1, Black Ghost Flames WR1), the rest are keepers. I've tried other pickups (pic shows Dimarzio's) which I thought were weaker and thinner sounding. My Coral Sea Warrior won't take an Invader without being hackmodded like the black Warrior Pro.

Re: Jackson Warriors

Welcome to the forum!!:) I can't help but think of this:

Re: Jackson Warriors

Welcome to the forum! NICE axes!! I like pointy axes but have never had the chance to play a warrior. Only Kellys. Why is it that 2 of them have (or appear to have) a slanted end of the fretboards?? I like the black with purple pups!

Re: Jackson Warriors

I hate you, OP. Just !@#$%^& hate you!!! Ugh!

Just kidding. I've been considering selling off my two SL2H Soloist's for an WR1. Dunno.

Excellent 1st post as has been said. Welcome.

The original Warriors circa '90/'91 had slanted fretboard ends. The WR-1 (introduced a few years ago) has a square end. I'm guessing this was done so a full size humbucker would fit in the neck. The original Warriors had a slanted Jackson stacked single in the neck and a pair of them in the bridge with an active mid-boost preamp. WR-1s ship from the factory with a Full Shred in the neck and an Invader in the bridge with passive electronics.

Re: Jackson Warriors

Wilkford! Glad to see those Warriors :friday:

And yeah, the original 1990 USA and Pro Warriors had slanted pickups, which matched the slanted fretboard end, as well as the whole angular shape of the body (which is 4 Jackson pointy headstocks butted together).

And they originally came with Armstrong rails (at least the USA models did), not Jackson singles. Not sure who made the rails the imports came with.

Re: Jackson Warriors

The older Warriors (both USA and Japanese) came with Kent Armstrongs, with the exception of the USA Warbird, which came with Jackson badged pickups.

Re: Jackson Warriors

Oookay then, I always assumed you actually liked Rsmacker, maybe not.

I don't have a problem with homesexuals except those who make sexual advances towards me or spread bull**** fantasy stories. What gays do is their business, I have no interest.
