Re: JB is a freakin GREAT pickup

Dave...come on bro. They are not that bad, in fact they are a pretty good pickup. There are hundreds of killer tones that were made using a JB!
It's a great pickup...especially in a guitar with only a bridge pickup. That way you can tweak your amp to sound killer with the JB without having to compromise your tone settings to also sound good with a neck pickup. :smack:
It's Duncan's #1 selling bridge pickup year after year after year and it has stellar single coil and series tones: very Tele like in those modes.
It's not my personal favorite, I'll admit that. It's a little to loud for my tastes, my ears get tired of that upper mid peak and I like the 59B and Custom Custom more. But no way is it a piece of dung!
Every time I have installed one I have been blown away by the JB...although, as mentioned, I ultimately prefer a HB with a little (or alot) less output.
But seeing as it's Seymour's favorite humbucker, you know it's gotta be good.
The JB has alot going for it and if a player doesn't like it it's just a matter of personal taste.
Seriously JB haters: ignore your neck pickup sometime and just dial in a killer tone for the JB alone. You'll see what it's all about.
