50 watts or less is plenty...my 100watt JCM 800 got sold within weeks! Just to loud to enjoy. So were my 50 watt JCM800's to be honest...they're loud as heck too. These days I prefer playing through one or two 22 watt Deluxe Reverb amps or my Matchless Chieftan...it's so much easier to get a great tone at a reasonable volume than with the JCM 800's. Great sounding as they are they are still a little to loud for 95% of the playing most people do. Lew
