just got a budda...need cab suggestions

well after months of trying to figure out what kind of amp i wanted, i finally found it. I realized that all along all i really needed was a lower wattage single channel amp that i could crank. so after much looking, and almost buying a Dr.Z Maz 18, i found the Budda Twinmaster head, and it's exactly what i want. it should be here next monday.

so now i'm looking for suggestions on a cab and speakers for it. most likely a 2x12, but wouldnt mind a 4x12. i'm going for more of a classic rock sound, and have thought about greenbacks, but wanted to get other suggestions.

Check out the Mojave 2x12 with a Celestion Blue and G12H30

or a G12H30 cab

I think a Mesa 2x12 or the Budda 2x12 would work well also

If you ponied up enough cash for a Budda, you should invest in a good cab (something Avatar quality or better). For classic rock, those re-issue Greenbacks kick some major tail.

I'd wait till I could get a Budda 2-12 or 4-12. My personal choice would be a Budda 4-12 with a criss cross of Vin 30/H30. That'd make that head sound as good as possible.

Congratulations on that purchase! They're awesome amps. A local store here in The Hague (Netherlands) sells them, I absolutely loved the tone when the shop owner demonstrated a halfstack with a Custom Shop 70's Strat.

i like the idea of mixing speakers, but i didnt see where budda was offering their cabs with mixed speakers, only their own speakers. avatar would be an option and i like the idea of mixing the V30's and and H30's, but what about H30's and Weber Blue Dogs or Eminance Red Coats? (or whatever their celestion blue copy is)
i'll most likely end up with a 2x12 though, i'd like to have a 4x12, but i dont know if i could justify the weight/size of one.

For a nice amp like that, I think it'd be nice to have it as a complete set with matching cab. The main reason is that the amps have purple accents, so having a cab with some purple in it completes the look.

i agree with you gearjoneser, it would be nice to have it matching. i do like the idea of mixing speakers though, but maybe it would be best to just get the budda cab, play through it for a while, and then in the future if i ever get tired of the budda speakers, try mixing some. i think that's probably what i'll end up doing, probably the 2x12 cab, unless someone wants to try to convince me that i'll be missing out by not getting the 4x12
