nice man.
what wiring scheme are you going with?
Also... you're going with covered buckers? Will the covers fit in those pickguard routes?
I originally was going to put a set of those high outputs in my Futura build. You don't have any issues with the 4k + difference in wire on those ? Just curious I like to keep them fairly closely matched .5k to 2k or so?
Just out of curiosity, why did you choose D'Addario Auto-Trim tuning machines? I just discovered those this year.
I have not run into a problem with larger gaps, I actually like it. One of my favorite setups is my Dimebucker (16.25)/Jazz (7K) setup. I do use a volume pedal but I don't know how much that plays into it. I do know in the middle position that setup sounds fantastic. When I am switching pickups I am looking for a whole new tone, I hate guitars with similar sounding pickups. In my view it may as well be a single pickup guitar. So 4K+ doesn't even make me bat an eyelash.
Doesn't D'addario own planet waves
Cause when I was at their site last week
The drop down list included a link to planet waves

So are you gonna put a black jack plate?
Or go chrome hardware

I have an Epi Les Paul custom that I've equipped with a Dimebucker and a Pearly Gates in the neck. I love the contrast and the sound they make together is heavenly. The Dimebucker is a fantastically designed, very versatile pickup and I use it for everything from country to blues to metal
Words are cheap, let your fingers do the talking
Yep they are owned by D'addario
I am going chrome all around on this. I am looking for a classic vibe with a twist. That twist being the bridge, neck and pickups.
People so under estimate the Dimebucker. It is a great classic rock pickup. Especially the early Stones and Who stuff.
It's quickly become my favorite bridge pickup!
I did this review on the Dimebucker a while back. The best comment I got was from a snippy kid that said the review was a fail because I mentioned Paul McCartney’s and distortion in the same review. I guess he thought Motley Crue wrote Helter Skelter. Freakin kids.

I see you got your new pickguard too. :headbang:
