Dirtbagg,

Well, I think ou could guess what my response will be here :1: Go for it! I think you will be really pleasantly surprised at how nice these blocks look and sound. Give me a shout if you have any questions or need any help with ordering.

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

Hellion,

Please keep in mind that these tremolo blocks are not made to "block" your tremolo. They are direct replacements for your original, crappy zinc or pot steel block. It is a significant upgrade in resonance, tone and sustain.

We do offer the Tremol-No system on our website which is an adjustable trem blocker. It allows you to lock or unlock your trem and set it however you like. The pin type is the one that will work with a KGC trem block. Here is a link if you are interested in one...

No, send me (if I qualify) whatever you were going to. I'm always interested in modding my stupid Strat.

You're good mang! Still on the list for a MIM block!

Just as a side note, since we've come unstickied. We still need a couple people for the vintage spec bridge area to volunteer some time!

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

Who has a Strat style guitar with a Vintage bridge? If you do, sign up and try out a KGC Musical Brass Alloy Tremolo Block! You won't regret it - and you'll have the chance to keep it permanently! All we need from you is a post with your personal review of the block. C'mon people!!:thanks:

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

Anybody know what type block an 80s MIJ strat has? If its vintage, I can go for that one too since theres barely anybody on that.

They are vintage spec, or at least they should be. The Squier pro tone I had was.

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

Alright guys! The blocks are in! From a aesthetic standpoint, they look great! They're pretty heavy to, so that's promising!

Everyone be looking for a PM from me! The first round is going out Monday!

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

I have a Gotoh Floyd in my guitar and a Wilkinson 6-hole "modern vintage" trem I plan on putting in another guitar. I'd love to try out a bigger block for these!

I'm not sure if the blocks we got for review will fit either of those bro. I'm pretty sure the Gotoh Floyd blocks have a different mounting screw spacing. I'll double check. I have an edge baseplate here and I know the Gotoh and Edge have the same spacing, so if the block I have here fits that base plate, then it should fit yours.

I'm not familiar with the Wilk Vintage Modern. I'll have to look up the specs and get back to you. Some of the Wilk Bridges I've seen had staggered string holes through the block.

You are correct, 9Finger. None of the blocks sent for testing will fit either of these bridges although we do offer blocks for both the Gotoh Floyd and the Wilky Vintage. Have a look on our website - we are doing our best to offer a block for every trem we possibly can.

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

BUMPAGE! I need all those that have spoke up to test to send me their address!

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

Apparently the vintage spec does fit MIJ. So I can do that one as well since theres only one person.

Thanks for participating, ex-250! There are still a few more open slots if anyone else is interested in trying out a block. I appreciate all of your participation!

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

I just picked up a deluxe players strat - 2005 MIM that if you still need a tester for I'd be happy to participate!

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

First round of blocks are out for review. Since Jeremy and ex-250 volunteered to review 2 blocks, I sent them both at the same time so they can do a side by side. They'll get passed on from there!

I'll be notifying everyone when they're next on the list and what not!

Re: Killer Guitar Components Trem block BETA testing.

It probably states it somewhere on here already, but how long is each person supposed to have their blocks?
