Kramer Claw Tobacco Burst SRV Deluxe

Figured I'd put this in it's own thread since the "Claw One Piece Mahogany Tele" thread just doesn't apply to this project anymore!

Here's a "Mock Up" of what I'm actually going to put together!

- 1989 Kramer “Claw” Rosewood Neck w/Original Black Schallers & OFR R2 Nut/String Retainer

- 2007 Allparts Tobacco Burst 2 Piece Ash Body w/Flame Maple Top

- 1978 DiMarzio SDS1 SC to Gibson 500K Vol/“Dummy” Tone/Fender TBX/Fender “SRV” Pickguard - or - New Warmoth Black Gloss PG w/Rio Grande Genuine Texas/Duncan Twang Banger/Rio Grande BBQ "F"

- 1986 Floyd Rose Original Black Germany w/“Hoockey” Brass Block & Screw In Arm

The "SRV" is just wrong on a guitar with a Floyd and a pointy headstock :laugh2:

Otherwise, it looks like a fun and interesting twist on a shredstick for sure.

I like the way it looks a lot, but there sure are a lot of contradictions there for one guitar. That is a killer neck that screams for humbuckers and hard rock tone. But again, I really do like it.

Thanks for the kind words. I know the "SRV" Pickguard throws some people off, but I am a big SRV Fan and just decided to take the best parts I could get and put this thing together...so...it is def a "contraditions of styles"...but damn...it looks hot and it's going to play equally as "hot".

I for one - completely dig it! Who has that Steve Jones mod-rpro made from an ESP EC-1000. Same deal.

I will say this. If you are gonna go there, SRV it as much as you can. Strap, Pups, maybe some aging...

Kinda reminds me of XSSIVE's relic axe, and that's one heck of an axe!!!

If you decide against the SRV guard then do use a similar black guard cause it looks wicked!!!
