Michael Schenker signature guitar

I once made a flying V for myself with the Jazz pickups (bridge and neck), and that was exactly the Michael Schenker tone. I love this man, he influenced me more than any other player. Too bad I just can't gel with the V.

So glad he came back with Cozy and Chris, and his own material, and was the deserved darling of the festival scene.
I do remember seeing just the 4-piece UFO live on The Old Grey Whistle Test, when Micheal used the white V, and that was a real treat. Great sound and playing - riding his volume carefully, and at the same time - letting us have it all.
I couldn’t find that clip, but he was truly at his best.

This is where he belonged.
Cozy totally locked-in from bar 1.
Chris Glen walking it.
Paul Raymond’s young energy.
Well done Micheal.

So he's not with Dean anymore?
Hasn't been for awhile, I think. But like Ace said, you can get your MS fix getting a Dean at 1/32 of the cost of the Gibson. I don't think he ever had much brand loyalty, really. Just whomever would produce his design.

1. Gibson wouldn't;t touch him for decades
2. Eliot brought him back from the dead and kept him sober.
3. Gibson is just collecting artists as part of their D-baggery style campaign to sell stupid expensive guitars.

Which brings us back to where the thread started.

I love a good Les Paul / SG, but man alive is Gibson an annoying company

Saw him last year with UFO and the year before doing the MSG tour, absolute perfection both times…. Unbelievably so.
