Mic'ing cabs vs acoustics.

I obtain sound deadening by the sheer amount of junk in my room. :blackeye:

This is a time honored method. :P


I've also had good luck with an LDC over my shoulder, and an SDC pointing at the joint between the neck and the guitar body. You have to play around a bit to avoid phase cancellation (and be careful with your head to not knock into the mic). This seems to give a more similar sound to what you hear while playing the guitar in the room.
