Mixing active with passives(vol II)...

I emailed emg support regarding mixing actives with passives using 250k volume and tone pots for the passives and one volume (25k) for the active emg and they have sent me the schematic i have attached in this thread.
After looking at it it seems ok but what i cannot understand is where should i solder the ground wires of the two single coils(there are two wires coming from each of the passive singles the one must be the hot the other one should be the ground right?),and the wire from the spring claw????

Anyone with more experience in schematics could take a look at the attached file and give me some advice?????
Thanks in advance.

Re: Mixing active with passives(vol II)...

The "ground" for the pickups is the braided wire that surrounds the "hot" wire.
Its soldered to the back of the pot, where the red arrow is pointing:

That schematic only shows for single coils... is there one for connecting a passive and active humbucker?

Re: Mixing active with passives(vol II)...

i suppose it would be based on the same principle......have 25k pots assigned to the active and 250k(or 500k) assigned to the passive.

Yeah, with a humbucker, you still only need to use two wires. Green to ground, and black to the 5-way switch. Connect the red and white wire together. (Only if its a 4-wire pup.)

Note, that in that schematic, they don't connect a ground to the "passive" volume control. You won't be able to turn the volume on the passive pups all the way to zero, but it will be close. Close enough, probably, to be "effective" zero.
