Re: monster cable. worth it?

I've had nothing but problems with monster cables. I have 20 foot cables I bought from guitar center for 5 dollars that lasted me longer than monster cables. As a matter of fact, they still are lasting.

And the monsters? I have to bring once back to guitar center this weekend. This is the third time since the beginning of the summer I've had to do this. Those crappy ones from GC I've had for almost 2 years. Go figure.

How about a BIG +1. They are good but, they are sort of a joke not only in musical gear but also home audio as well. Well, joke isnt a good word but the are very overpriced.

+2.

I'm using Planet Waves. Circuit Breaker and their 3-conductor. Those 3-conductor are the way a guitar signal cable should be built. 1 Hot wire, 1 ground and 1 shield (connected only to 1 end).

I dont believe in all this Monster Cable hype for guitar.

Did Hendrix, Page, Clapton, Beck and co. used such cables ? No I dont think... so any good quality, not too long, cable will do the job... and they are all warranty for life so....

Re: monster cable. worth it?

I use Monster "Rock" cable and I think they are worth every penny. There are plenty of great cables out there that cost less, it’s all very subjective when you get into the high-end cables. I did the A/B with Monster and a few other brands and I could really hear the difference myself, so I wired my rig with MC exclusively. Anyway, to each their own, but I really don’t think MC are all hype, I have great ears and they never lie. :laugh2:

Cheers,
