Re: Monster Rock cables... are they worth the $$$?
i have george l's .225 and .155, monster std 100, 500 jazz, 500 bass, and studio 1000, whirlwind, planet waves, cbi gold rush, livewires, mogami, and a decent number of other cables and have done some minimal testing.
the monster studio 1000 is a fantastic cable. loud, full, quiet, perfect except its really thick and heavy and its ferociously expensive. best sounding cable i own but the most ungainly to use since it is so fat and heavy.
the monster jazz is almost as good but doesnt quite have the same detail. also thinner and less expensive. a great all around cable.
the george l's is great but isnt as punchy or fat as either of the monsters mentioned above. really like these too.
the rest of them are all decent cables but not as good as the above three. i have tried the monster rock and i didnt really care for it, was ok but compared to the jazz (which is a little more $) it sounded brittle and thin. ymmv
