i have tried the monster rock and i didnt really care for it, was ok but compared to the jazz (which is a little more $) it sounded brittle and thin. ymmv
Well since you are a Oessie, you might get some Cordial cables.
I bought a 100 m barrel ,and am really happy with it.
they have 4-5 lines and all are good. The professional road series are really robust ,but the normal professional series are good enough.
I bought some Neutrick jacks with the same purchase ,and have different cables for my needs now.
If you can solder ,Cordial and Neutrik are your best friends.
Klotz is another good company.
BTW ,I hate Monster for their carnivore/predator attitude against every other possible company on the planet.
They are not worth it.Cheers
I've had quite a share of Cordials... no matter which line I chose, they always died on me... with minimum abuse. So I won't buy those again.
Klotz would be an option... they seem to have some quality stuff there too.
That's with your gear.
With different equipment it may be just perfect.
It's all about system synergy.
In your amp Mullard NOS tubes may sound a little bland but in another amp they may be awesome etc.
ive read that article before, love it!!
ymmv = your milage may vary ~ you may get different results with your gear
As a matter of fact, one of my Cordials just died on me last week... I'm done with those.
Klotz are about the same price +- a few € as the monsters are (we're talking Klotz Titanium here)... only thing is I don't know anything about the reliability of the Klotz cables...
Oh and the Monter Rock Cables look sexy, too... har har har
