Most GAS-tastic Guitar Brand for you?

Re: Most GAS-tastic Guitar Brand for you?

Collings, the very name induces G.A.S. My 290 is magic and I can only imagine what the LP and ES-335 inspired designs sound like; my wallet hurts just thinking about it.

Well, not every model, but Gretsch catches my attention more often than not, and probably more often )expressed as a spercentage) than any other manufacturer.

Re: Most GAS-tastic Guitar Brand for you?

The great resurrection...

As far as GAS goes, any sexy singlecut will do. One of my exes, a photographer, loved using my guitars in some of her artistic photos. One day, she had quite a few of them lined up on stands. All of them were Les Pauls. Her and I had been together for a few years at that point, so she knew me pretty well and we were living together.

I walked into the room as she was photographing her scenes involving a naked woman with my guitars. She had a witty sense of humor and she made a very snark comment about how I obviously have a "type" of woman based on my guitar collection. The ironic thing is, I would not say that is true about women, but it is definitely true about guitars...

I can waste hours on the Keisel site and the guitar builder.
I love the PRS but the wide necks are just a deal breaker

Ok the prices are a bit steep as well

Love dreaming about them though

Lately I'm gassing for one of those Solar guitars - but I have this mental block against Youtube guitars after having tried a couple of Chapman guitars that were awful.

Re: Most GAS-tastic Guitar Brand for you?

I don't know. Lately, there isn't anything that hits me just right. I am into lightweight, ergonomic designs. The few that I like are Minima Guitars and Sinuous Guitars. I dig the Art Deco designs of Murray Kuun Guitars, as well as the carbon fiber Emerald Guitars.

Those Sinuous designs are really cool but I take too many hallucinogenics too often for one of those to live in my home with me

What I GAS for and what I actually buy are two completely different animals.
