Thanks Darth but it was MJ that called. I guess you can only find long legs in Texas.
I'm not sure how fair an assessment this is of Lynch... He's played ESP guitars for going on 30 years, he was using Duncan's probably longer, and he's mainly been a Randall user for ages... How is that being a whore? In that basic time frame, EVH has been with Kramer, Peavey, EBMM, and Fender for guitars, his pickups have flip flopped between Duncan and DiMarzio, and his amps were made by either Peavey or Fender... And puts his logo on the bottom of pots, THAT'S a whore. Even Slash is a bigger whore these days, he might still be sticking with same companies, but between his like 5 signature Les Paul's, 2 different wah pedals, and at least 3 different signature Marahall's, my 2 favorite guitar players are annoying the crap out of me.
Those guitars are ridiculous.
This is not necessarily directed at George, per se, but nowadays artists--even popular artists getting radio play and iTunes downloads--don't make money selling records like they did pre-Internet. So they do what they can to make a dime through "ancillary income streams." Those are often things like touring, lessons, cruises, merch, and gear endorsements.
I wish George the best of luck with this venture and in life.
There's a lot of gear whores in the biz. No surprise there.
makes it sound as if you and/or SD feel that George left SD for money and I just can't imagine that is the case.
On the subject of the Demon i think it sounds great in a dark sounding guitar , even in a super Strat with a maple neck and vintage trem it's sounded good IMO. Used thru a dirty amp then boosting it with an OD the Demon will definitely Scream

My guess is only George really knows why he made the change.
As crazy as this announcement is, the most surprising part of this all to me is that they might actually be getting that kind of money for those guitars. Those are ugly as sin.
the Dokkenbucker can still be made??
