I don't get any of mine with long legs. I just figure if you have a CS order that's not right that they should be able to help you out. But Hank Jr has a song about TX women that helps show that we do have plenty of those long legs around here.
It's a perfectly fair assessment when the guy even admits it himself and the facts are there. Nobody is saying he is the 'only' gear whore. But he does have a history of not being ethical with companies and people.

This is not necessarily directed at George, per se, but nowadays artists--even popular artists getting radio play and iTunes downloads--don't make money selling records like they did pre-Internet. So they do what they can to make a dime through "ancillary income streams." Those are often things like touring, lessons, cruises, merch, and gear endorsements.
I wish George the best of luck with this venture and in life.

Ask any non-guitarist who George Lynch is, and then ask them who Slash is or who Eddie Van Halen is. The answer shouldn't surprise you.
That said, I've always hated the Screamin' Demon. Such a great name for a lackluster pickup, and I've tried it three times. Maybe someday I'll get to try the OG Diablo.

Come on Evan..."not necessarily directed at George" or not you making that statement in this thread makes it sound as if you and/or SD feel that George left SD for money and I just can't imagine that is the case.
If it was about the money I'd imagine that Duncan has a lot more of it to throw around than Arcane...maybe George, like most great players is always looking for new ways to get his tone and maybe he's found something that suits him better these days...or maybe it's much deeper than that. My guess is only George really knows why he made the change.

a lot of dudes like the Demon, to be sure. the Super V is a better model than expected. I've heard from dudes that dig the Dokkenbucker.
this pickup from another company has some interesting specs and what few descriptions there are look curious. I'd have liked to have seen it come from SD or the custom shop. I like to dabble in a boutique model here and there, but I don't see where I'm gonna be putting $ on this one.

The Screamin Demon' and Lil' Screamin Demon will continue - and the Custom Shop can build anything you'd like but you will no longer see direct models like the Super V, Dokkenbucker on the Custom Shop Store.

Exactly. The guitar I use it in is an alder bodied Strat with a maple neck and vintage trem. It definitely screams through my rig, and in a good way.

First, Im stunned, but not really.. Sad to see the relationship end I guess is the correct thing. Not much shocks me anymore. And sadly, what Evan said is correct. gotta go where the dough is, and these artists are trying to bank while they still have an audience. many of The 80s guys were done for awhile and Im sure they are glad they can drum up biz again.
Id never heard of Arcane before. They new? Interesting how I have been a HUGE fanboi of Alnico 8 mags for years and now it seems they are popping up all over! I know it has nothing to do with me, but still makes me feel good.. haha
Im very glad that there were no "clauses" or anything that restrict the sale of the screamin demon! And hope we dont have to rename it, AND, I hope for Evan's sake he doesnt have to chime into every thread that discusses it and disclaimer that the pickup is not associated with any particular artist, or whatever the dialog was before we went thru the 78 model transition... haha

i like seymour duncan and i like george lynch and these pickups seem pretty cool. i survived yngwie leaving dimarzio for duncan, evh leaving ebmm for peavey then leaving peavey for fender, dimebag leaving randall and dean for krank and washburn, angus young having a signature gibson pu but using duncans, and johnny damon leaving the red sox for the yankees, i'm sure i can get through this.
