If you've already got one with humbucker's go for a Classic or Special with P-90's.

There's a lot of forgotten virtues to P-90's, and I think they could make a comeback in popularity. Everything doesn't have to have HB's.

The HB bridge/P-90 neck combination is way under-used. Using Phat Cats, I've converted several guitars to this, and love the sounds. In some woods, a neck HB can be fairly dark, and a fat single coil is ideal for usable tones.

Agreed, in one of my axes I have a Dream 90 neck, Bigmouth bridge and the Dream 90 really complements the humbucker well.

the green X has a CustomCustom right now...i'm gonna try the Custom and Custom 5 and 59 bridge (thanks artie!) just cuz i can do all of those for free right now but I think I'm gonna end up putting a P-Rails in there.

so far it sounded the best with the Phat Cat in there, but I found that I missed having a switch i could use for things. I like to mix it up y'know?

Fo' sho'. You won't even need to swap out the pickups. Those stock Gibson P-90s are awesome.

PUH speaks the truth. Those pups are awesome, and seem to be like they are made for the guitar. They are the perfect match, and one of the only reasons why I would get a gibson.

Killer guitar....now go get one!

P-Rails are the 1st pu that comes to mind - for me - if i think about any guitar with only one pu !
I honestly think it will ROCK in your SG !
