My latest favorite guitar (subject to change tonight)

It's a Godin. It's a Radiator. Many Radiators have blue bodies (behind the huge pickguards) and some have rosewood fretboards. This one's modified with a Seymour Duncan JB and an SD Jazz (and a 2 way toggle switch). Now I sorta get the saying, blondes have more fun.

Without a doubt, the craziest pickguard in history. (I'm wondering how it would look to pull the pickguard, fill in the holes and spot paint with matching or close-to-matching yellow).

It would look better by a ton ! That is sort of a creepy pickguard . Godin makes nice guitars I have one I worked on at the jam room , electronics are first class ,tightly bundled well soldered and clean. Nice grab ,that is a decent guitar for that price!

Without a doubt, the craziest pickguard in history. (I'm wondering how it would look to pull the pickguard, fill in the holes and spot paint with matching or close-to-matching yellow).

Oh you meant a lot are blue underneath even with the edges yellow? That's wild.

i would probably replace that pickguard with 1 piece diamond plate aluminum.

I'm pretty sure this is the only one I've seen that ISN'T blue. I doubt it's blue underneath because the entire back is yellow. It's a freakshow but a good one.

Godins are about as under-rated as Peaveys (USA ones anyway). I've never handled a Godin that didn't feel and play great.
Please post up "gut shot" pix if you do pull the guardplate, I wonder if it's "swimmming pool" routed under there.

Pull the pick guard, don't worry about filling and painting the holes, just screw the screws back in!

That strap is from the ebay ad and wasn't included. A little off subject but I bought one guitar off of ebay and checked the gig bag later and found a Roland GK3. Not a bad score for free. Also found a whammy bar in the same bag.

Pull the pick guard, don't worry about filling and painting the holes, just screw the screws back in!

there ain't much behind that pick guard on the Radiator. there's a swimming pool that runs 3/4 down and leaves two inches around the outside except where the upper bout and the hardtail are. its mostly hollow.

some of them came with a mirror front.
Many of the ones from recent years are black with a black-onyx pickguard which looks...a little tougher, I guess. I have a blue one with a maple board. Love it, but I want a new guard with new pickups in it, or I may get stacked hums from SD.
