Curly
Moe's Bluesman
and my favorite color is GOLD
out of the goodness of my heart, I have done my part to help support my local independent Gibson dealer
there's a couple other pics, and the specs here:

I can't say I haven't thought about this before ... like I told Scott, one of my friends told me years ago that Goldtops were the best deal in a Les Paul
after ledzepp29 and Scott's post, I went to look at another R7 just to see if I could even PLAY one.... you know, they have big necks and all, and I passed on the idea a couple years ago because of that
this time I found them quite playable, just like old Les Pauls I remember - big necks, great action ..
So ...
I called another (well known) dealer downtown ..
"Hey Saul, have you got a GoldTop?"
"Sure do, I've got a few"
"Have you got one that's LIGHT?"
"I've got one that's eight and a half pounds"
"Is the grain on the back straight?"
"Yup"
"I'll be down as soon as I can"
anyway, long story short, it was everything he said it was
Peace
