Ok well, I've had the Marshall cab since Tuesday and played the crap outta it since then. Now, I've used a H&K cab that matches my Attax head for years and it has a very present tone, like the kind of presence Paul Gilbert talks about having. Half my tone is presence and bite. The 1960A is the complete opposite to my ears. It almost sounds a little stuffy compared. It alone I don't particularly like for a show where there isn't any mic'ing. Now when mic'ing is required, this thing would sound better and more even for sure. The real awsome thing is that now I have all the sonic spectrum covered. The H&K cab covers the midtop and top end crunch and presence while the Marshall smooths out the bottom and adds a ton of depth. Together, these cabs OWN. Such a warm chug sound. I do n't know how to explane is other than very organic and woody sounding. Talk about a full sound, reminds me of Rage or Nightwish. I'll be mic'ing both cabs at our New Years show to see what works live.
