V30-Electro.jpg

Going to keep it this way for a while for kicks & fun though I will eventually go back to the two V30's. The only problem is that the V30 is definitely louder. The Electroharmonix still has the volume/presence to change the overall sound coming from the cab but the V30 dominates...

In any case the Electroharmonix is not based on a V30 or any kind of V30 clone ...maybe a G12T-75..but I've heard they need to be broken in to shine as well..so maybe I'll wait & see if/when that happens :lmao:

A comparison between the two speakers . First the Electro-Harmonix 75W, then the V30 with volume lowered to match the EH and a bit at the end with the V30 @ actual volume which shows the volume difference between the two speakers..

V30 sounds great...but I do like the way the EH sounds as well, both on it's own & mixed w/ the V30. If only it was a tad louder

I went back to the two V30's :p

I think the EH sounds great & for 35-40 bucks it's totally legit/well worth it/on par with anything out there as far as how it sounds. Plenty of sweet overtones for leads too. I'd probably have kept it in there if there was'nt such a big volume mismatch w/ the V30. cuz It all but drowns out that sucker :laugh2:

I think the EH and one of the Peavey Blue Marvels I replaced (w/ WGS ET65's) in my Pevey 6505 4x12. Would probably make a great pairing. But I'd need another 2x12 for that and I'm already swamped with those :lmao:

Sure anytime dude..

Now back to some Jazz w/ BOTH cabs (Laney w/ V30's + 1x12 w/ Creamback M) ...btw I met my buddy at the studio who sold it (Creamback) to me over the weekend and tried a 1x12 cab with a Creamback "H" in it. Can't say I liked it at all...overly bright and modern sounding. Frankly I thought it sounded like ass. Coudl'nt be happier I got lucky and have the 65W "M" version instead :bigthumb:

This with two tracks (Creamback & V30) panned slightly (5%) L-R

Yes. .....I'll just come right out and say it. ....TONE! :D
