Neat setup for when I get the stuff from Jeff Seal, Whatdoyouhink ?

I hope to see the day that Jeff Seal finds the time to put the package with the stuff for
my amp on mail (or call the UPS pickup service).

Some of you might remember a thread from quite a while, when it also looked like it
was going my way soon.

Over the years, I've always thought I'd eventually use it as a head with a handy 1x12"
for when I can't lug my 4x12" around, but I may have found an even better sollution:

In the rack, I could put a power conditioner, tuner, wireless receiver and a noisegate.
Then a drawer with chorus pedal and a solo boost, perhaps a delay thingy later on and
another drawer for cables, the footswitch for the amp and wireless transmitter,
tools, strings, batteries, etc.

Also, I'd like a mic on a gooseneck there so change overs will be as quick as putting it
on stage, connecting the mains and the mic cable and rock !

Any of you use a setup like this ?

That's actually a very cool idea.......but how heavy will it be?
Got a van or pickup truck you can roll it into?

That makes my back hurt just looking at it!

I would rather have 2 or 3 things to carry that were a little bit heavy than to have one massive thing to carry that was just crazy heavy...

Although, I am an electrical engineer and have Scott_F build amps that I am too lazy to build, Jeff Seal is one of the true masters of the arts.

That looks VERY heavy, but otherwise it's a great idea. Your setup time before a gig would almost be non-existant.

Well .. I do play heavy music.

Thank you for the good points about weight lads, I never thought of that. What a great and inspiring place this is, I missed that !

Now that one of the singers gave up his thirsty station for a nice family sedan, we're going to get a trailer. We're a five piece band and always take our own sound guy with us, so six people, two cars and a trailer is almost perfect.
We'd still rent a van for gigs that are quite a long way away like we did in May for the European Tour.
But we don't have roadies to "put their backs" into it and even though the Marshall isn't really that heavy, compared to a Fender Twin. But the sum of all cables, case-material and the rack units will probably get me beyond Twin territory.

I already have a case for the Marshall, so a nice rack to go with it would be a better idea indeed. Then, I could also take just the combo without the 4x12" and the rack for small gigs.

So, I won't be putting my 4x12" up for sale any time soon then.
