Need answer quick on fuses...

If a fuse cover reads "250V T4AL" then what value fuse does that call out? I'm guessing 250V but how many amps? 4?

Re: Need answer quick on fuses...

250V = 250 volt
T = time delay
4 = 4 amperes
AL = axial leads

So it's a 4-amp slo-blo fuse. I assume it's a normal 1 1/4" glass fuse, and you can get it at Rat Shack, or even auto parts stores.

Buy extras.

So we can get a regular 250v 4a slow-blo and we'll be OK?

Re: Need answer quick on fuses...

Well, I don't know about that. Fuses blow for a reason. That's why I said buy spares.

Get some new 4 amp slo-blo's, stick one in there, and see what happens. If it holds, shrug your shoulders and play on. If it blows, get thee to an amp tech.

Alright will do. Thanks everyone. I'm leaving the thread open for reference.
